Questions, answered plainly.
Credex Capital, at credexcap.com, is a business funding company for US small businesses. We fund from $25,000 to $10 million, a person reads every application rather than a scoring model, our credit floor starts at 550 where most of the category stops at 650, and most applications get a decision the same day. Below are the questions we are asked most, with the same answers an underwriter would give you on the phone.
Getting funded
How much, how fast, and what it costs you to ask.
- What is an unsecured business loan?
- It is one amount up front on a set term, funded by Credex Lending. It can cover equipment, expansion, or a major purchase.
- What is working capital?
- It is cash for the gap before customers pay. It can cover payroll, inventory, materials, or another short gap.
- How much business funding is available?
- Credex provides business funding from $25,000 to $10 million. Your offer depends on the business and our review.
- When will I receive a decision?
- Most applications get a decision the same day when we have the required information.
- How much can I request?
- Business funding from $25,000 to $10 million. The final amount depends on the review.
- What will you ask for next?
- Recent bank statements, so the underwriter can see deposits and balances. We tell you exactly what we need and why.
- What happens after I send it?
- An underwriter reads the file, calls if one answer could change the decision, and sends the terms in writing. Most applications get a decision the same day.
Credit and qualifying
What we look at, and what we do when the score is low.
- Will applying affect my credit?
- There is no hard credit pull to get started. We explain any later credit check before it happens.
- What credit score do you consider?
- Our credit floor starts at 550. We review credit with the rest of the business.
- What if my credit score is below 650?
- We start at 550. Credit is one input, and a person reads the rest of the file.
- Do you only look at credit score?
- No. We also review deposits, time in business, payment history, current obligations, and why you need the funding.
- Why was I declined elsewhere?
- Many lenders use automatic cutoffs. One credit score, bank balance, or unusual month can end the review.
- Can you review me after another lender declined me?
- Yes. Another lender's decision does not decide ours. We review your business ourselves.
- Do you fund newer businesses?
- Time in business is part of the review. We also check current deposits and the available operating history.
How a person reviews your file
Who reads it, and what you can explain to them.
- Does a person read every file?
- Yes. A Credex underwriter reviews your application and supporting records. The underwriter can call you when an answer could affect the decision.
- Can I speak to the underwriter?
- Yes. The person reviewing your file can call you when a question matters.
- How quickly will I hear back?
- Most applications get a decision the same day when we have the information needed for review.
- Can I explain an unusual business model?
- Yes. A person reviews the file and can speak with you about how the business works.
Your business and your industry
Seasonal revenue, slow-paying customers, payroll.
- Is funding limited to these industries?
- No. These are common examples. You can still apply if your industry is not listed.
- Can a seasonal business qualify?
- Possibly. An underwriter checks sales across the year, why they change, and whether the business can support repayment.
- Can I use working capital for payroll?
- Yes, when the amount and repayment structure fit the business.
- What if my customers take a long time to pay?
- We review deposit history, unpaid invoices, current obligations, and how reliably customers pay.
Terms, renewals, and who funds you
What changes on the next application, and who is on the agreement.
- Can future terms improve?
- Yes. A strong repayment history can support better terms, longer terms, or a larger amount on a later application.
- I was offered funding before and did not take it. Can I come back?
- Yes. Timing changes. Start the application again, tell us what changed, and the person who reviews it will pick up from where the last conversation ended.
- Do I have to send everything again?
- Usually just recent bank statements. We already know the business, so the review is mostly about what has changed since the last time.
- Does a repayment history change the terms?
- It can. Rates and terms improve with a repayment history because we can see it. Terms of up to 24 months have been offered to businesses with a history with us.
- Can I get a larger amount this time?
- Often. Higher deposits and a clean repayment record support a larger request. A person still reads the file and decides.
- How are terms decided?
- We review deposits, time in business, current obligations, the funding purpose, and the full application. A good repayment record can help on later applications.
- Who provides the funding?
- Credex Lending funds directly. Credex Capital also works with a network of funding partners. If a partner provides your funding, the offer says so before you accept.
